its about storage.... pumped hydro is best imo but batteries and other forms are necessary and this is what M. should be focusing on.
and of course, every transition takes time and a balanced plan to ensure disruptions and costs are minimised for the consumer, especially wrt businesses.
clean (non-ffs) hydrogen is very likely to replace gas and coal before any closures are to be effected.
is anyone suggesting the immediate cessation of mining or coal-fired generation?
