Numbering 1 to 150 is too daunting, even for me.
What we need is to be able to vote ABOVE the line, 1 to X, for the groupings in our chosen order and, if there is one standout candidate [either way] in a party we otherwise favour we promote/demote that name by numbering BELOW the line for that party only.
This way we have a chance to vote out some of the dead wood who have seniority but nothing else going for them. At least the preference swop deals will have less chance of working.
I looked at the upper house vote in Vic. Shooters and Fishers got bugger all first pref but last I saw they got up 3 candidates. Does anyone know their policy beyond wanting to go shoot up the wild life? It's a crazy world we live in.
