Scrap the senate it works for New Zealand and in Queensland.
The senate was supposed to be a house of review but has now been reduced to petty political arguments between who ever in and opposition and the gaggle of minor parties.
Governments are forced to use horse treading tactics to get bills passed ,no doubt some poor legislation would be passed but at least the Government would be be held solely responsible for mistakes.
Who knows we may even end up with a Government that is working in the national interest.
It would be interesting to see how much money scraping the senate would save ,probably more than the GDP of some African countries.
