Despite the mistakes the board / GJ seemingly has made (with hindsight) we can't blame the board for being misled by HanLong. HanLong was the chosen vehicle by China to conduct the takeover. Dealing with Hanlong up to this point was dealing with China.

It's not HanLong who failed to come up with the CDB term sheet, it's the Chinese government that has decided that they need the State Enterprises to deal with new circumstances.

I don't doubt GJ's comments about other serious interested parties. Read this in entirely and you know how lLONG TERM & STRATEGIC the West African IO province is to propsects like Jindal for instance.
