SDL board were in a corner once they backed the Hanlong bid so kept working and hoping despite a renegotiated price and ongoing delays.
There comes a time when hard decisions need to be made and unfortunately for shareholders teh SDL board never made one.
What now?
Well if they can't stir up a equity partner from somewhere then its bleak.
On this forum alone there are more than one company and its shareholders looking/hoping/fearing a takeover offer form Glencore. Glencore can afford to be extremely picky so i wouldnt hold my breath waiting.
