I've been trawling through SDL company announcements, back to 2010.
Following the tragic aircraft crash mid 2010, SDL has been nothing short of a circus.
SDL's quarterly update 27 July 2015 confirms that SDL had hit a brick wall in moving this project forward, albeit pitched to potential funding partners as "world class". Supposedly irresistible?
However, let's remember iron ore prices 2014 ~ 16 were depressed from 2012 highs.
SDL's failure resulted in a "Transition Agreement".
The way I interpret this, and as any court should find as well, is that SDL essentially signed away its rights over the port & rail IP and any say who was involved in that construction.
Also interesting is SDL's quarterly published 28 October 2015, and it's clear that SDL was providing technical information regarding the project to the Cameroon Gov't.
If sensitive IP could have been leaked by the Cameroon Gov't and provided to ANS, then ANS has no case to answer.
Also remember the Cameroon Gov't was dicked around by SDL for many years, and was keen to this progress this project.
I'm only up to end of 2015, but it doesn't take a genius, nor 24,300 pages of requested discovery, to see where this is likely to end.
