    paul,

Yes our climate cycles through from one ice age to the next.

We have cycles that run for around 100,000 years, with something like 88,000 years of cold and about 12,000 years of warm climate.

Guess what? We are towards the end of one of those 12,000 year warmer blocks. An Ice age comes next.

Within the warmer blocks of climate, there are still quite cold periods.

The last one was called the Little Ice Age and ran from about 1550 to 1850 with the coldest period called the Maunder minimum from 1645 to 1715.

We have been warming since about 1715.

Russian scientists say that we are about to start another little ice age.

Yes we do have natural cycles and we have cycles within cycles.
