sea levels stable, page-2

    The post title is misleading.

(You'll probably get applause from deniers who don't read the body of the post and believe your wrong post title, and from people who do read your post and are interested in reading science papers explaining the latest on the rapid rise in sea levels - even though you make them go to the trouble of locating the paper for themselves. Maybe that's your intention.)

You've posted an article about the rise in sea levels. Your post title reads as if you think sea levels are not changing - which is obviously wrong as your post states very clearly that sea levels are rising - as does the paper itself.

The paper you've referred to shows that the observed rise is higher than the 'sum of observed contributions to sea level rise'. In other words, one or more of the contributions was previously being underestimated.  They've balanced the budget now.  They've included groundwater depletion, as well as updated info on contributions from other sources such as melting ice.

Your post mentions a chart but doesn't include it. Here is the chart from the Church et al paper, showing the rapidly increasing sea level rise:

It's a great chart because it shows the varying contributions - from thermal expansion, melting ice caps, and ice sheets in Greenland and Antarctica - as well as the decline in water storages on land.
