Let's give them some time. It is a massive expanse of sea there and a very long way from the Australian mainland.
But overall the whole episode has been a wake up call for many about how little knowledge or tracking is actually taking place on commercial flights - at least in some less developed parts of the world.
I think also Malaysia is not used to this kind of scrutiny and has not handled things well.
Hopefully something will come out of this whole affair to beef up the technology and monitoring of all commercial flights going forward.
