WA out of paraquat until Oct-Nov (too late) and glyphosate like hens teeth. Both prices have spiked. First year in many farmers have worked through their buffer stocks.
Reckon this will be the new norm. The input suppliers will only stock for an average season. Better to run out of supplies and pick up margins on the last 10-20% than be caught discounting to get rid of stock.
Having equity to buy opportunistically and carry stock will continue to be a wise strategy.
Couple of systems coming through from Sunday to Wednesday that will have a large bearing on all crops. Just starting to show moisture stress with a 26C day today and tomorrow.
