I'm wondering how UMC would react if they received a higher bid...

    I'm wondering how UMC would react if they received a higher bid from the Chinese and a lower bid from say BHP. Chinese takeover would of course be subject to FIRB approval.

    I'd be favouring to take the lower offer from BHP while its still there. "One in the hand is better than two in the bush".
