    I'm not sure if this makes sense, but I heard UMC were supposed to be in serious negotiations with BHP prior to the BHP/RIO JV proposal. That proposal put on hold all talks.

    Now there are a lot of mumurings that the JV is off. So I'm wondering if its back to square one with BHP and UMC.
