Saw a sound bite of Colin Barnett tonight ..... was talking about the natural gas in the Kimberley, but sounded like as far as he's concerned it applied to all projects.
He said that traditional owners should be consulted 7 fairly compensated for projects on their lands BUT they should have no right to veto projects. He said no one group should be able to effect the prosperity of the whole society.
Lake D is being represented to the State Gov by the Nats & farm lobby groups as being essential to the state & Australia & as Yellowcake has pointed out the $500m pa spent on importing SOP from overseas is a festering sore on our current account.
I think the Martu will be read "the riot act" at the tribunal.
