I think that if there was a second newspaper and it was seen to be one of quality, then it would seriously cut into the Wests circulation, and if it were well run it would certainly be profitable.The West has pi$$ed off almost everyone in W.A.at some point and there would be a massive shift to the new paper.Advertising revenue would eventually follow but it woudn't be easy and there would be blood as the saying goes.The West plays the game very carefully when it comes to not upsetting those that matter. Their main advertisers are well looked after and treated with kid gloves . Nothing is published that will upset their biggest advertisers.This is a problem in a one paper town and in most places would be considered a form of corruption but probably not W.A.
