I have though about this a lot and I agree. unless there is a specific place where this system at this scale has a economic advantage or is all that can be deployed due to sea floor as a buyer you would wait and see what the next generation brings and lower your risk. Early adopters just about always get burnt so unless there is some sort of govt body underwriting it in the country it is deployed in it would be very hard for any private organisation to fund and run.

Very hard from a marketing perspective when you are telling people to buy now but on the other side of your face you are telling them that they have abetter system coming in 2 years so unless the specific site is only able to use the existing system i can't think what would induce a purchase when there is no real penalty to wait and see if the new system is better suited in 2 years . In business I have see with many different technology that manufacturers will withhold next generation just to keep existing market and only introduce it when it is a must have or give them a competitive advantage . Might not look as dynamic company but giving only one choice can work as a tool to get better economy of scale in production and keep market focused on existing product. hard to do when you area public company and your testing happens in public water but them's the brakes . No 100% right or wrong answers and CWE have chosen their path for various historical reasons and financed their business model so just have to wait and see if they can make a sale and if the product can be profitable at all.

CWe are desperate for a partner who is locked in to order upon successful trial and parameters are met otherwise they will just keep sucking up research money and no one will commit and shareholders won't get a return
Must decide now if research org or business
