Wallup,
Received an e-mail this afternoon in reply to my questions.
The plan is to slowly ramp up to 4 trains per day to achieve the 10 mtpa figure ( Stage 1 ) which services 3 ships per week.
I did not ever have a problem with that.
To achieve stage 2 , they increase train frequency and shipping movements.
I also realised that.
The question was raised because I had no way of confirming that increasing train frequency to the required number was possible.
If the train is 7000t , as I have been told , then gbg will need to have approx 43 trains per week to achieve 300,000 t pwk at port , which is just shy of stage 2 target.
So , 6-7 trains per day once they are ready for stage 2.
In the wash up , I perhaps should have just asked can you run 40+ trains per week ?
They did not quote any number of trains to achieve 16mtpa , they are my reasonable estimates.
GBG merely said they would increase train movements to goal.
I have made a simple question overcomplicated.
It will happen again , but I will not post it!
