As the voice of cricket in this country they are nowhere near critical enough regarding the quality of players. It seems to be a policy of channel 9 to dictate what the pundits/commentators can and cant talk about. It was the same last year when the West Indies put on a disgraceful performance and the crowds stayed away (Boxing Day as an example).
I wouldnt criticise Smith regardless of his technique. He is world class and his average proves this. You also need to remember he came into the side primarily as a leg spinner six years ago. Has come a very long way in not too long a time
