At this stage I would imagine that FNP are pretty safe. They have a factory at Sheparton which sources from Northern Victoria and the bordering NSw area, neither of these areas have had major fires. They also have milk supply from the Lachlan valley and that is fire free.

The biggest problem I see is that the drought is currently being forgotten due to the fires, fire effected farmers are receiving free fodder at the moment and this has pushed the price of hay up by about 15% over the weekend due to the quantity being moved to fire effected area, one example is the Bega Valley which is expected to receive 5000t.

This one would expect will also flow through to pellets etc putting even more pressure on farmers who are not recieving any fire aid, hopefully it proves to be only a temporary increase.
