Junior, no one twiddles their thumbs. Between wireline logs and MDT samples etc there is quite a lot to do prior to being able test. The test kit might take 1-2 days to be mobilised and to get to the rig from the beach (distance dependent), then it takes a few days to rig up, pressure test etc No company rigs up a test kit complete with a 10 man crew unless they are sure they have something. Its standard operating procedure.
