You seem to have a strange understanding of weaponry. It is not the rate of fire that makes it lethal. If you have a five shot BAR and a five shot MST weapon, you will have five holes in something. The rate they arrive at is inconsequential. A hunter with a bow and 5 arrows can be just as lethal and somewhat less noisy. Weapons are for defense of the squeamish by those who are prepared to expose themselves to the danger of doing so.
In my book the squeamish should just shut up and be thankful that they have nice safe houses to go home to each night.
