Each to their own but I have developed a more cautious approach.

I prefer to trade all stock rather than invest. Swings make me far more profit if the timing is right and it's safer to exit losing trades quickly with appropriately risk managed position sizes.

I had a stop loss and it was triggered - simple as that.

The fact remains that the SP is the same now as Dec 2016, July 2016 and April 2016.
