If we are serious about laying waste to the cleptoshorts feeding off the tit connected to our SP, then it behooves our management to strike down these parasites in no uncertain manner: pay the most generous dividend possible ASAP and watch as two things happen - the roaches scurry towards the dark and long term investors, including the big end of town, bid our SP higher.
The biggest goldie just raised their dividend 80%. Because it is now clear that as negative interest rates become the norm, investors will be forced to chase income generating assets.
Don't even think about it Duncan.
Just do it.
