Well, I don't know about non-financial, won't that depend on the price of lithium. Currently, high concentrations are around the 600 mg/l mark, with 50% being left in the waste. Surely people won't put up with that level of wastage and will develop methods of extraction from brines that have a 200 mg/l concentration.
