Had a discussion with Dr Tunks this morning which breaks one of my rules as people in his position are salesmen as much as anything else.
I found him to be very easy to talk to, a realist, not pumping up the tyres. Certainly knows it's a hard road ahead but the results have been promising to date. That's the lot of an exploration company.
I spoke to him about my interest in the Woods Point dyke swarm and he compared Juruena to that regarding the pinching and swelling of the veins. These bodies are difficult to mine profitably in Australia with all the costs associated with OH&S and first world wages as well as dilution due to them not being able to be bulk mined and using airleg mining techniques. Brazil is almost certainly a cheaper place to give it a go.
All in all a breath of fresh air and a frankness I have found lacking with previous encounters with those in a similar position.
