you'll have to investigate if the council will allow a house on stilts in the area. If they decide it doesn't fit in with the area they may not allow it. also i don't know where you are but over here in WA if you build a house and sell it within 7 years you will need to pay for and pass over the building indemnity insurance to the new owners. I suspect you were going owner builder?
