Not sure how it compares, however, it has been widely stated in many sources that that this is the largest new source of refined lithium to be brought into production in the past 20 years. This will be more than doubled in the next 18 months to two years when the additional production is expected to come on stream.
Also with the lithium being produced from brine rather than crushed rock, it is considered a very low cost producer.
Also let's not forget that Toyota are guaranteeing the sale of the refined lithium products.
If oil was considered to be"black" gold, then in the current paradigm shift to battery power, then lithium carbonate should be considered as "white" gold
