If you want to understand better and know, not just do endless speculation with no back up, figure out what revenue and profits will be in the 2023 SAR and AR. If prices and production do not change. I will be the first to admit. That both could go way up or way down.
As they change you can adjust your estimates. If you don't have a bassline, how can you know what is happening? Right now I see SAR being about 90% OF 1/2 OF AR 2022 and AR being 55 % of AR 22.

As far as NdPr prices right now the chances are about equal for up, stay the same, or go down. Before September 2 I would have said70 % chance of going down. China started working hard to stabilize prices starting the 2nd Too early to know how that will work.

As far as volume NEXT was about half done in 2017. Complete by NOV 2018 except some Quality problems with PrO. solved about 4 months later. They broke 1/4 of 6000 T NdPr, 1250 t, Q2 of 2017 -they have never broken 6000 T The original spec for the lamp since then. Whan I see some real increase in NdPr products then and only then will I go up on my production estimates. if they can do 1650 T in Q1 I will be a little more positive on future production. 1750 T I will become positive. Rember because of water shortages Q4 they should have lots of raw material stacked up and a backlog of orders. Why should they not make NEXT rates of 1600 T of NdPr products.

If you turn to page 38 of the AR they far exceeded the EBITDA goals earning executives a nice bonus Prices helped a lot with this.
However they did not meet NdPr production goals or NdPr production costs. both of these mises were small but as prices drop become much more important.
Here are the numbers from Lynas Q reports please check them for accuracy.

Yes labor day weekend about 50 miles of grid on the north side of lake Winnipesauke NH USA was Knocked out, It was cool. The power company CLAIMED it was from excessive EV charging from all the people driving up Friday night, I know in MA the power companies have asked multiple times for people not to charge cars between 12 noon and 7 PM. They also ask to curtail all major appliances. I have said many times the FED and state governments should stop installing charging station Private industry will do a great job of doing that as demand rises. What they should do is spend money getting the grid ready for this revolutionary change.

I our town they have put in a 4 unit charging station at town hall. A four unit in a small mall and two 4 units at a large mall. In six months I have seen one car at these about 10~ 20 times. Rest of time they are all empty
