Not sure when the trial will take place - the Mt Morgan's mill is in C&M. It will take months to get the gold mill off C&M / operating. Also, it will be up to GMD when they restart Mt Morgans - but after the restart, they have 12 months to process 100k tonnes as part of the trail.
The material is old tailings from the WMC days - so limited to what is in the TSF.
It is a large mill (3M/t per annum) so if they don't fill it, she will become expensive to operate - whilst GMD don't have to mine for ore, they still have to de-water & transport to the mill (they are bearing the cost of the operation). Mt Morgan's AISC varied between AU$1600-2300/oz.
It is an interesting option - which may pay off in the end, the question comes down to whether you trust POS management not to squander $$$ in the meantime either from CRs or the gold income.
