There seems to be many high achievers amongst the gay community. Whether or not pro-rata its higher or lower than the general community I have no idea. However anecdotally to me it seems there are many examples in the professions and in sport. The ratio is likely to be similar to the general population but who knows.
My point is really about highlighting that being gay does not impact ones capacity to contribute positively to society
and to negate some of the vile derogatory remarks being made by some through the threads. Of course just like the heterosexual population there will be those that work in the trades, in hospitality, in community services and in our military services, all worthy areas of endeavour.
Also just like in the heterosexual population there will be those that may not be ideal citizens in terms of the law.
