Given apparently the percentage of the population that are gay
is relatively small there seem to be a lot of high achievers in their ranks,
We have Olympic champions in Ian Thorpe and no doubt there will be many more
such champions. We have them in all codes of top level sport and the AFL has
even come out in support of the YES vote for ssm.
The Qantas chief is gay as is the head of one of the worlds largest companies,
Apple.
One of our most prominent past High Court judges is gay.
Also we have gay Members of Parliament in all the major Party’s.
Tony Abbott’s sister is a prominent Liberal Councillor and she is gay.
Given gay people are a minority they seem to be very well represented
amongst high achievers. I have only cited some of the more well known ones
and there are bound to be stacks more.
