My guess is we will possibly make our own CsFo and let the world know we have it and offer it to an interested party.
We would miss out on the $$ that the middle men would carve off if we simply sell the ore.
JP, I’m not discounting your argument entirely, but one of the problems with CsFo uptake is the other easy cheaper alternatives. Non as effective as CsFo due to the compressibility rating. If the formate brine becomes more accessible , then it’s quite likely drilling operators, esp in the UK and offshore **, will look to utilise it more and more.
I get the feeling that higher quality drilling fluids will begin to find a more permanent place in deep sea drilling ops.
Smart move for us would be LPD PIO JV to dig the ore and produce CsFo and LiCO3 from the Li bearing surrounding deposit/overburden.
