Speaking with the company several months ago, it was their decision to terminate the contract with Ding after he requested a further month extension to come up with the lump sum payment.
Their goal was to establish a bigger resource in early 2008 before taking on another partner.
I questioned whether there would be other interested parties. The response was that they were multiple interested parties, but CFE wanted to prove up their resources first to sign on a much better deal than the Ding deal. Knowing this, I have bought some options recently in the bad days.
I have no idea when the deal will come, but going on past history, when the volume goes much higher than usual with no announcement, it will probably be the time - Trading Halt, then the announcement.
