You are right that the confidence is not there and therefore the plunge to raise CR. I am just hoping, that though he may not be confident, he will try everything and he may just be able to pull a rabbit out of his hat: probability is low though. Anyway by doing this CR, the damage is done because the suspicion has already seep into the mind of investors. The question is how bad it is going to be.
