Its not specific to DCN all gold stocks have suffered. As far as I see its's sentiment towards gold stocks. Gold price is not in vouge since the FED threatened tightening monetary policy, meaning increasing interest rates. If you look at the history chart gold vs 10y bond rate they are inverse.
My opinion is that the FED can't afford to jack up rates without t a total collapse. Money has flowed from Value stocks to growth > to base metals > back to Value. Fund managers are speculating and shifting money in and out of the sectors to a quick buck. By the time retail investors hear about the trend the funds are selling. The whole market is behaving irrationally, crypto's, NFT's. Don't know how much longer the markets can keep such valuations but I think gold will shine once again when the shit hits the fan.
