Yeah, you could be right.

I called the management after the SP tanked following the trial results and the gut feeling I got was that they were genuinely excited about the result.

Also, given the size of the potential market, I can understand why big pharmas were all over them after the trial - at least that's what MBP management say.

I guess it comes down to how you read the management - whether they are genuine or not.

The company needs to do a deal here for the SP to improve. If they can get a deal now, I would expect the SP to move skyward. But if they have to complete the dosing study first then we could be in for a long wait - in which case, other things being equal, I would expect the SP to track down as you suggest.

I'm not brave enough to short this stock. If MBP does get a deal the SP could (should) move explosively.
