Whoopsies - with regards to the statement in my last post

"Copper is actually not that rare. I think the earth has got something like 5000 or 10000 years worth of copper left in the ground, based on current annual usage. "

Just double checked and re-read the report where that came from, at

And they estimate land based global resources at 3 billion tonnes so at 17 million tonnes a year that's around 175 years of copper left.

Argh, that'll teach me to keep writing from memory. Apologies to all.
