Lismore council goes on about an insult to democracy. Where was the democracy shown to the brave Graham family, who welcomed Mel on their property, only to intimidated and harrassed by the activists that even caused property damage?
Mel had 300 land access agreements, drilled 50 wells, and has had a presence in the NR for over 10 years? Why do they continue to say gas is mined when it is drilled?
Only 10% of Mels pels are in the Lismore area, so why is it that they are so vocal in that area? The State Govt recently bought back PEL 445 which covered Lismore.
The role of council is to collect rates and garbo and to assess building approvals not approve solar, wind or gas projects, that is the job of the State Govt.
