I cannot answer the 6 questions because I do not know the working relationship between the Board and JH.
But, I do know, the last presentation gave me a new perspective on the potential of Surprise and strong buying immediately after the presentation appears to confirm my new perspective. It is possible that the Board (which included JH) believed that Surprise could be an elephant (100mmmbls of oil). Hence the battle for the cash! Hence the need for speed before EPT confirms the elephant.
