I posted to see how other Self Funded Retires are feeling.

I'm feeling pretty chuffed.
Just did last years tax so will get a franking credit refund in the bank account very soon.
I will buy myself a present as a treat. (Thanks taxpayers)
Additionally I placed a couple of bets on the ASX the June before last.
Bought an ETF that tracks the Nasdaq index because I thought tech stocks were oversold and also wanted exposure to the artificial intelligence boom.
Also bought shares in REA Group Ltd because I thought talk of doom and gloom in the real estate market defied reality.
Both have done really well so it's time to realise the paper profits and take advantage of the generous 50% cgt discount next time I do my tax.
