You started work at 14 cause you didn’t need to finish year 12 just to get a job as a tradie like you mostly do now
We had jobs in manufacturing etc ie jobs that didn’t require University, we have offshored most of those jobs now
try quoting school at 14 now and applying for a job…
Keating crated super but all it’s done is create greater inequality in our society especially due to what Howard and Costello did to it.
I finished school at 15 went to the mines, got a trade and worked 2 jobs, became a union delegate then organiser, traded finance markets aswell during this period, studies and became a stock broker in my late 20s, retired at 40 and full time investor
Have 2 kids and married
Feel sorry for my kids and current inequality, definately won’t be as easy for them as it was for me, not only to buy an overpriced dump but then they have to work for some corporate shithole with no brains
