Extrapolating from the other thread, New Battery Technology, the latest 'standard' looked to be around 5k-6k cycles, so significant progress in only 3 years. Then, of course, the 200k cycles the scientist was able to achieve could really be a game changer indeed.
The question then becomes how close would they be to commercialisation capability? Patents? This is where we may be ahead of the game as opposed to some potential competitors. It's going to be very interesting to see who wins the silicon race!
