I looked at this and spoke to the accountant.
Advise was to sell at market and them buy back - Why, well it was less hassle for both of us for the measly savings.
I'm not sure sure what the CG issues are with transferring shares into the SMSF, but I didn't have any LOL, but if you have a large CG then this would be worth locking into.
It cost me 2 x brokerage fees for each, but actually worked out better as I sold slightly higher than the buy back in the SMSF.
