I thought the comment on the HZR forum suggesting that their process was way more cost effective (than EDE). HZR specify Fe as their catalyst and EDE state that they don't use precious metals. It seems that the catalyst is the key to keeping cost down so I don't imagine that their process really is significantly cheaper.
Besides EDE is up to commercialization and moving towards scaling up whereas HZR is still finding ways to commercializing.
