That's a bit annoying, if both being listed, they'd be somewhat more directly competitors.
To become a master broker, I think OM bought out a tiny old stockbroker to get their license. Then they started it as an online broker or something, but had some teething problems to get over, like ASIC issues. I guess that is the template to follow, but is not a smooth thing to happen in the space of 6 months.
Though having the volume does make it a more viable/valuable/cost effective option.
