The sell at 40 wont get hit at 40. It will get thrown into the mix before the open and as you should be able to see at the moment will open at 46ish. The same thing happens after 4pm.
It is not manipulation, it is a sellers way of getting out on open. It is 10,000 shares or a little over $4k.
Eg: If i wanted to sell out this morning i'd do the same and i'd be assured of getting hit.I wouldnt call that market manipulation.....
Dont always think everything is as sinister as it looks...
