    I don't think there has to be any specific news to bring the price down.
    The media's continual gloomy news re the economy will do the trick eventually.
    The recession that govt says we are not going to have will HIT us imo, people will HURT.Not many are hurting BADLY yet.- When they do,they will brush the cobwebs off their BHP share certificates & sell(I think they've sold their cheaper stuff)
    The pocket money the govt threw at some lucky people is only delaying the inevitable. Why should Australia be immune?
    It's not as if we have a surplus to fall back on any more -that's been squandered.
    We can keep on lowering interest rates I guess - that has really helped the USA Britain NZ & Japan.
    That's it,getting off my soapbox - too many postings from me today.Just getting bored waiting for the inevitable BHP Slide
