PVD can rely upon their existing drilling contract with Freeport and PVD are not seeking to break or vary the contract.
If times have changed, and they have, this is not a reason for Freeport to break the contract. Only by discussion and agreement can the contract be broken or varied.
We can not tell what Freeport are doing and Ya says they have provision in their accounts to drill. (US $165m) But if Freeport want to make changes it's up to them to instigate discussions and make offers.
PVD are in a strong position and I'm sure Damon is handling it. The outcome is very important for PVD.
