Cra.pulence=Suffering from the effects of excessive imbibing (drinking). Nothing profane about it.
It derives from the Latin word Cra.pulentus=Very drunk, which again derives from the word: Cra.p.ula=Inebriation.
Of-course etymologically , the root of the word is ancient Greek (had to be if Latins used it..):
Kraipale=Huge drunken headache.....In Australian vernacular=Hangover(I will have it tomorrow)....
