I think sentiment for GEM is split down the middle at the moment, with the negative probably outweighing the positive at this point in time. But that can change and there are lots of things to consider, such as government policy and whether the recent budget announcement re the childcare package will be passed by the Senate. All I can suggest is to read a range of articles to help you understand both sides of the argument, the risks, pros and cons etc, to try to form a balanced view and make your own decisions. At least if you bought in recently you most likely got in at a good price. There's a variety of articles on the ********.au site re G8 which are written by different freelancers that you may find of interest:
