Upfront cost for long term usage.
This is marketing costs at its finest. The hardest part is getting the customer to actually sign up because of the stigma and fear surrounding BNPL, once they've signed up through a little incentive, the user experience will speak for itself.
Not fussed with this if it gets more customers actually trying out the platform instead of bagging it before even using it. Once they see the utility it turns the customer into a long term customer.
Prefer to see acquisition costs come now to fuel growth while we're still trying to grab market share and dominate.
